How to fix wrong position of elements in Chrome

Overview
This article describes how to fix the issue when TestComplete identifies the element position incorrectly
Article

TestComplete may identify the location of elements incorrectly on a web page opened in Google Chrome.

Since version 12.40, TestComplete can work with non-standard System DPI and Chrome zoom settings. So, if you are using TestComplete 12.40 or newer, there are two possible reasons why you are facing the issue:

1. Third-party extensions change the web page content. Please open the Extensions list in Chrome and disable all extensions except for the SmartBear Test Extension.

2. An Accessibility server was not registered on your machine for some reason. This library is part of Windows and should be installed along with the operating system. To register the library, please open the Command Prompt and execute the following command line:

regsvr32 oleacc.dll

More information about this library can be found in this article.
